We all face difficulties and concerns in our emotional lives that can impact on our work, relationships and well-being. Counselling is a process of talking through your concerns - to express your thoughts and feelings with someone who is caring, who listens and who is non-judging - in support of your emotional health, psychological growth and overall well-being.
You may be prompted to begin counselling for a number of reasons; to gain clarity on an issue, change old patterns, and untangle complex personal issues or for self-development. You may seek out counselling as a result of a crisis, or you may be encouraged to seek counselling by family members, friends or colleagues.
